Ross
Petty signed on to drive for Rotary Power and Grip Video
Los
Angeles California –Rotary Power, and Grip Video has signed on
Hawaii pro drifter Ross Petty to drive their 450+ horsepower Mazda
RX-7 FD3S in this year’s Formula D series and other drift events.
Ross
began his drift training at 16 years of age with the infamous drift
team Murder in Okinawa, and has been competing in Hawaii for the
past three years, winning 4 Drift Session events in 2002, and was
crowned champion of both the Signal Auto Drift Challenge and Hawaii
Drift Showoff 2003.
“Ross’s
high level of skill and character is a welcome addition.”
Said David Tang of Grip Video.
“We are ecstatic to have Ross on board for the 2004 season,
and are proud to have him as a representative of our team.”
Breeding
talented drivers in their Drift Session events for the past four
years, the addition of Ross Petty into national competition will
enable Hawaii to finally see how their drivers match up to the rest
of the country, and should provide an interesting and exciting
aspect for 2004.
