2007 SEMA Show

Las Vegas Convention Center

Part 1

It's that time of year again and the Drift Session crew heads to Las Vegas for the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center. This year we went to check out various new products and items to sell, to go to the Formula D press conference, and to assist some professional drifters in Japan acquire new sponsorships in America. Attending the show this year were Shimos, Justin, Jin Horino (D1 Driver), and Nobu (Marionette racing)

	After flying in overnight, we first headed to the SEMA show to pick up our event badges and check things out before everyone gets to the show. After that, it was off to Ceasar's Palace Forum shops in the afternoon.
	A quick drive over to the outlet mall in northern Vegas for some shopping and dinner at Makino Chaya.
	Finally reached our hotel in downtown in the evening. We were actually at the Las Vegas Club next door to the California Hotel. It's just like being back in Hawaii with all the Hawaii residents staying in downtown Vegas.
	Tuesday morning. Up at 5:30am and out the door at 6:30am. At the SEMA show before 7am. We arrived early to score some close parking in the convention center lot. Last time, we had to park elsewhere and paid $25 for parking.
	Early view of the outdoor displays at the SEMA Show. For those of you that haven't been to SEMA before, there's 3 different halls and several outdoor lots displaying pretty much all the automotive equipment and parts that you could ever want.
	Visiting with the people at Falken Tires. That's Calvin Wan's new 350Z roadster on display. They're not sure if they're going to actually use it in competition yet.

	30 inch wheels on this high rise vehicle. Kind of ridiculous but head turning none the less.
