This video series is awesome. It appears to be some foreign guy in Japan who goes around filming typical (or atypical) life in Japan. In this video, foreign guy is in Akihabara which is a well known electronics and "Otaku" (super nerd) area of Tokyo. The district opens its streets on Sunday to foot traffic only, creating a virtual mall of impromptu performances, announcements, and demonstrations. Typically in Akihabara, you'll find electronics stores, porn shops, video game centers, hobby shops, and some eateries. Most everything in this district caters to some hobby or personal interest (ie. anime, porn, toys, etc.). Depending on your point of view, Akihabara can be either super cool or super dumb. My friend in Japan says that Akihabara is quickly changing though and is quickly being developed into an upscale retail district.
