Drifting is the big thing now, but I am convinced that the next big trend for America is going to be the "VIP" car. Not everyone can get out there and thrash a drift car around a road course, so for the rest of the guys leaving the Honda tuning movement, that's where VIP comes in. You don't need to be a highly skilled driver to have a VIP car and no one will ask you if you drift it or race it since VIP cars aren't really built for anything other than pimping around the block slow and low.

Most typically, VIP cars (pronounced "bippu" in Japan; but that sounds kind of stupid in the USA) are large, luxury sedans. Primarily VIP cars tend to be Japanese in origin, but I suppose it would be possible to have a VIP styled car that is German (Mercedes Benz, BMW) or maybe even American (like the Cadillac STS). VIP cars are large and in charge and they all started off as flagship luxury vehicles. Most commonly, VIP cars are painted black, but occasionally a different colored VIP styled car appears (hardcore VIP enthusiasts may disagree that VIP cars are black only). VIP cars utilize larger diameter wide wheels and tires, a significantly lowered suspension, sleek body kits, fancy in-car electronics, and other mild modifications designed to give the vehicle an ominous, mafia style appearance.
