Ken Maeda has been a D1 Grand Prix driver since the beginnings of the series. Most often, Maeda is remembered for driving a bright yellow hachi-roku (AE86) from 2001 - 2004 with Up Garage as his sponsor. After Up Garage decided to leave the drifting game at the end of the 2004 season, Maeda was picked up by Grenade to drive their dark blue Mazda RX7 FC3S in 2005 and 2006.
